Ishmael ZuluPolicy Officer at Tax Justice Network Africa
Ishmael is a Policy Officer at Tax Justice Network Africa. He is a development economist with over seven years of experience in the civil society space at national and regional levels. He has a wealth of experience in taxation, programme management, development economics, national and regional advocacy, and policy analysis. He has contributed significantly to building capacity in and the uptake of tax justice and curbing illicit financial flows across the African continent.
Ishmael is currently studying towards a Master of Science in Public Finance and Taxation from the University of Lusaka; he holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce with an Economics Major from Mulungushi University and a Diploma in Trade Policy – National Board of Trade Sweden.’

Geoffrey is a seasoned expert in insurance and management, boasting over 35 years of practical experience. He has diligently climbed the ranks within the insurance industry, ascending to top management positions in underwriting, claims management, and brokerage.
His leadership prowess extends beyond the corporate realm, having served on the Board of Directors for numerous private and public sector organizations, including the Industrial Development Corporation, the Zambia Revenue Authority, the National Airports Corporation, and Tazara, among others.
Geoffrey’s influence is further underscored by his tenure as President of the Insurance Brokers of Zambia, President of the Zambia Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and Vice President of the SADC Chamber of Commerce and Industry. His extensive involvement in private sector development missions, legislative presentations to the National Assembly, and management of promotions and exhibitions (such as ZITF, China, and Egypt) exemplifies his commitment to advancing economic growth.
As a passionate advocate and ambassador for private sector development, Geoffrey emphasizes the importance of reducing the cost of doing business and enhancing the predictability and ease of regulatory environments. He staunchly believes that a robust and sustainable private sector is essential for driving national economic development forward.
Currently, Geoffrey serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Bestlife Insurance Company Ltd, where his astute leadership continues to steer the organization towards sustainable growth and success. With his wealth of experience and unwavering dedication to advancing private sector interests, Geoffrey remains a stalwart ambassador for economic development and prosperity. -
Zondwayo DumaPolicy Lead at ZAM
Zondwayo Duma currently works as a Policy Lead at the Zambia Association of Manufacturers (ZAM), where he manages the Policy and Research department. He possesses extensive work experience in private sector development, policy formulation and analysis and facilitating public-private dialogue. Further, Zondwayo has served on various national committees and is currently Chairperson of the National Technical Business Development Fund hosted by the National Technological Business Council. His qualifications and work experience have enabled him to effectively undertake policy advocacy relevant to Zambia’s economic growth and development.
